Tuscany
May 17th
Gina took an EARLY Uber to the airport today; we followed in her footsteps a few hours later, picked up a rental car the airport in Rome, and drove to our Tuscan Villa: "Il Tribbio," in San Giovanni d'Asso.
We had four wonderful nights at this Tuscan oasis, where we were able to relax and recuperate. The villa was everything we imagined it would be. Our hosts were Federica and her son Lorenzo. They were so kind and welcoming! Federica met us at the property to show us around and had two chilled bottles of prosecco waiting for us. She clearly puts a lot of time and thought into her rental - it was stunning and every little detail and piece of decor was tastefuly done! I hope we can return someday and bring friends with us!

Italians pride themselves on their gas stations along the highways. Maybe you can see why in these photos. They have espresso bars and endless Italian food options to choose from.

Jay and I got one dinner out while we were here. There were only two restaurants to choose from in the village. This area is known for it's truffles, so they had an entire section of the menu with dishes made with truffles. Everything was delicious - here are a few dinner photos from our meal at Osteria Delle Crete.
