Rotorua

I continue to be AMAZED by NZ and we've only been here for four days! Yesterday was spent zip lining and exploring redwood forests by day and night. Rotorua Canopy Tours took us on the best zip lining experience I've ever had. We were were cold and it was pouring, but that did not stop the fun. The guides were young and fun and the small group we were with all got along great. It included a mother and son from Santa Monica, which made it fun for the kids to have another buddy along. After the zip lining, we found lunch at a cafe, Ciabatta, where we ate our first cronut for dessert. A combination of a croissant and donut. The afternoon consisted of our first trip to Countdown, one of the big supermarkets, to grab snacks and food for dinner. We used the hot plates in our rental to make pasta and threw together a salad with the fresh NZ avocados, they are perfect. The night ended at the Redwood Tree Walk, a magical experience walking along hanging bridges and floating lanterns.
